My new comic, The Chronicles of the Wavecutter is published and ready for the masses!

You can get your very own copy for 4 bucks! Just get in touch with me at drew.crowley at gmail dot com and I'll get you set up with a book.

14 Diamond Ring

Remember this?

It was a reference sketch I did to create these:

My friend Kelly is in an all-lady quartet called Diamond Ring and she asked if I could put together a logo for them. I was happy to do so, and these were the result.

What about my insatiable hunger for brains? What will [this website] do for that?
-Ben
Repeated studies have shown that nothing can quell that hunger.

But what about *MY* insatiable hunger for brains? What will it do for that?
-Adam the Great
See above.

Will the Ebola kill the Grimace?
-Bret
Nothing can kill the Grimace.

What about the Kraken?
-Dad
Tennyson wrote:
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

Hence, upon the kraken's rise he'll already be dead. No need to stop it.

who is Sperbeny? And Susie Robison? Inquiring minds want to know...
-Dad
They are people that exist in both the real world and the interverse. Many claim to have seen them, but who knows if the rumors are true.

what can I do with my extra 't'?
-Brett
I think you know what you can do with it.

12 soon to be printed

Chronicles of the Wavecutter #1 is officially at the printer. I should have 100 fresh copies of the book very soon.

In totally unrelated news. Here's a little sketch I did:

This is just a little diagram of some evil guy's main office.

11 Nascar Jokes by Josh and Drew

Josh (my nephew) and I made a webcomic together. Josh wrote and colored it and I drew it. Enjoy.

10 chefpunk: protein

The weather was incredible yesterday so I walked down to Tropicana Market, sat on the patio, had a quesadilla and did some sketching. The result can be viewed below:

I'm sure this has been done before, but I combined two things I really like. Steampunk and cooking. Hence, chefpunk. This particular guy is with the protein faction. I couldn't come up with a very "steampunk" solution for his knife set, so I just threw a knife carrier over his shoulder. I'm quite proud of the boiler tank/stew pot combo. The idea is that as this guy cooks his meat and steam is created which in turn feeds the various tools this guy would wear. The heat source is in a pretty dangerous place though. There's a high probability of bum-scorching with thie particular design. You wouldn't catch ME wearing that thing. But hey, I'm not a professional like this guy.

FACTION PROTEIN:
A group of purist chefs who believe that protein is the true path to culinary enlightment. To them a piece of meat,  perfectly seasoned, is the very definition of cuisine. But don't be confused. Protein has the starring role. The seasoning, never overpowering, is only there to aid and enhance the natural flavor of the protein.

It is said that one never sees a member of Faction Protein without a chef's knife in hand. They can break down any animal in a matter of minutes, from beef tenderloin to yellowfin tuna. Their knife skills are unparalleled.

09 For a friend

Sketched this up for something that I'm putting together for a friend.

08 Chronicles of the Wavecutter

My latest comic is all drawn up and ready go. All that's left is to print the books. To hold you over until then, here's a glimpse at the cover, masterfully colored by fellow comic creator, Nick Main.

07 question for scifi fans

I've been wanting to check out Doctor Who. Upon research into the Doctor Who library of episodes I've found that there's 26 SERIES WORTH of shows. Any suggestions on where I should start?

06 Drew Crowley Answers the Critics

I've found a new place on the Interverse and of course the virtual community is abuzz with excitement, interest and, unavoidably, criticism.

You've had other websites. What's different about this one?
This one has a different name than the others.

Many claim that you start things which you never finish.
There is no physical evidence to substantiate those claims.

Will your product remove unsightly hair from my lower back?
I think this was meant for a different website.

What's going to be on this website? What's in it for me?
Things I write will go on this website. Also, things I draw. If you like things I write and things I draw, then you will like this website.

So there you go. All of your questions answered. Stay tuned for further developments
